This is the second of the dermal filler presentation, which discusses the different types of dermal fillers used in facial medical aesthetics, such as the biodegradable and non-permanent ones. These methods form the foundation for the use of advanced techniques, fanning and cross hatching. The methods of facilitating patient comfort during dermal filler injection is discussed, for example, the use of ice, topical anaesthetic. Nerve blocks, such as the infraorbital and mental, can be helpful. The final section of the presentation discusses the advanced uses of fillers.
